R&B group Day 26 is gearing up for a busy holiday season.

Releasing two new singles, including their first ever Holiday record Day 26 is ready to fill Christmas stockings with fresh music.

Entitled “This Christmas,” the R&B group, of the hit MTV reality series Making the Band 4, takes a different approach to a Holiday record singing:

“Looking at at the tree, there’s so much there. I wish I could wrap you up and put you under there. All i need is you.”

Taking on Santa Claus in their own way, Day 26 sings “I’m gonna eat you up like them cookies, not going to stop for Santa Claus”

“This Christmas is all about the little things. This Christmas will never be the same again. Girl there’s something about this Christmas.”

In related news, Day 26 has picked “Come With Me” as the next single from their chart-topping self-titled debut.

“This Christmas” is set for release via iTunes on Dec.9 according to day-26.com

DAY 26’s christmas song This Christmas is scheduled to be released on Itunes on December 9th, 2008. This is the first holiday song that DAY 26 has recorded and I hope everybody will support The Guys and purchase it. We won’t let you forget!

Big ups to one of the best producers in the game today for taking all the DAY 26 fans behind-the-scenes of a new recording session with DAY 26. The guys are recording their 3rd song “Baby Maker” - and the song I can already tell is gonna be a def. favorite of mine. Of course, we got to hear all the big talent from the guys and their comedy LOL (Brian’s choreography). But yall must check out this video!

DAY 26 has released the brand new CD Single Cover for their brand new single, which is none other than… COME WITH ME. I was looking forward to this being the new single and I really think it is gonna do real well on the charts & countdowns! Time to start filming the video, guys!

DAY 26 recently sat down KickMag.net for an exclusive interview - which they discuss the whole Making The Band competition - and they also discuss their plans for the brand new album - which they are writing for right now!

Some people have described them as a chocolate-dipped NSYNC but their style is suggestive of an updated urban Motown if Berry Gordy were still at the helm. Those euro-synthesizers in their first single “Got Me Going” reek of pop appeal but their true vocal abilities and stage presence is all soul. On October 26 they gave a show for the Public Relations Student Society of America’s opening night reception at Detroit’s GM Renaissance Center. Before the show they harmonized, told jokes and explained why being a member of Day26 is a dream come true.

What was the hardest part of doing reality TV?

Willie: Just the world being open to see everything that goes on some things you want to be private. People treat us like ‘Will I know you’ they grab on us and pull us and we be like ‘Look here.’

What has the transition been like going from Making The Band 4 to becoming a group?

Mike: To sum a lot of it up just crazy. Doing one thing totally opposite of this it was in this lane not exactly how we are now. A lot of ups and downs good and bad.

If ya’ll can remember back about 2 weeks, DAY 26 did a radio interview with DJBooth.net and they revealed that they were working on some songs with some rappers. Ever since then I have been wondering exactly who they were talking about. Well, DAY 26 is going to appear on rapper Fat Joe’s brand new album which comes out November 25th, 2008. The Bronx bully, Fat Joe is back. He has a few announcements, too. First of all, Terror Squad Ent. has moved into a full exclusive distribution deal with Pharrell’s Star Trak Entertainment. Second of all, Fat Joe is working on his ninth studio album, tentatively titled, The Year of the Fat Man. The album is prepared for a November 25, 2008. According to Bad Boy President, Harve Pierre’s Official Myspace Page, DAY 26’s next single will be Come With Me, one of my favorites from the album written by Tiffany Starr. I am not 100% for sure that this is the next single, but I think it would be a good move for Bad Boy to put this one out there. What ya’ll think?

What’s up ya’ll? A brand new, fresh remix to DAY 26’s Got Me Going was released on Youtube today and here is the official video for it. I think the beat is hott to death and matches the song all the way! The remix was done by Godsent and Silky of Black Touch and I think this is part of the ‘DAY 26′ album, which I can Exclusively reveal will be released in the United Kingdom on October 6th, 2008.
