I have added the photos of DAY26 partying it up in NYC with their families & friends at their album release party for ‘F.I.A.D’. Good to see them enjoying themselves - especially after how hard they have been at work over the last few months! I will be adding the HQ versions of these photos later today.

On this day 28 years ago Willie Madison Taylor, II was born in Harvey, Illinois. Willie always showed promise as a singer and he began singing with a group named Kwiet Storm. His old group lasted for over 10 years and shortly after, Willie decided to go solo.
Until in 2007, when MTV show Making The Band 4 bought its auditions to Chicago. Will decided that he would audition, which of course, he blew the judges (Laurie Ann Gibson, Mike Bivens, Joe & Slam) away with his great vocal abilities and dance. Willie advanced and week after week he fought out against over 20 other guys to the live finale.
On August 26th, 2007, Will became a member of R&B singing group, DAY26 and ever since then he has been sharing his great talents with the world.
Today, we celebrate the 28th birthday of one of the members of DAY26 and on behalf of all of the visitors and co-web Jennifer, I would like to wish Willie Taylor a very happy birthday!

On this day, 29 years ago, Brian Angel was born in Houston, Texas. At a very young age, Brian recognized his talent and worked hard to achieve stardom.
In 2007, Brian attended the Houston auditions for MTV show Making The Band 4, which was looking for an all-male singing group. Brian blew the judges (Diddy, Laurie Ann Gibson, Ankh Rah, Mike Bivens and Joe) away with his incredible vocals and amazing range. He fought his way through the competition and on August 26th, 2007 Brian and 4 other men made the group, which later became DAY26.
Today, on behalf of all the fans here at DAY-26.com, we celebrate and send our best wishes and luck in the next year.

On this day, 20 years ago, Qwanell Mosley aka Que was born in Rochester, New York. Qwanell showed early promise as a gifted singer and dancer. At age four, Qwanell’s father was shot and killed. This would go on to be one of the strongest driving forces for Qwanell as well as his younger sister.

Qwanell auditioned for a TV show put together by rapper Diddy called Making The Band 4 in 2006 and he would go on to become the youngest contestant there. Week after week, Qwanell showed Diddy and the Dream Team why he belonged in the group.

On August 26th, 2007 Qwanell made the band which would later go on to be known as DAY 26. DAY 26’s self-titled debut album debuted at number ONE on the Billboard charts and today they are touring Europe. So, please join us all here at Day-26.com in wishing Qwanell Mosley a very happy 20th birthday!

On this day, 24 years ago Robert ‘Magnum’ Curry was born to DeLisa & Robert Curry in Detroit, Michigan. Robert Curry always had a passion for singing and music and he got the chance to be in a all-male member group with Michael Bivins at age 14 called The Pee-Wee All-Stars. Years later, Robert would audition for Making The Band 4 and knock the competition out with his soulful, effortless R&B voice. Robert, of course made the group which is now known as DAY 26 and today we celebrate his 24th birthday! So please leave your birthday messages in the comments.

This sunday, July 20th, 2008, DAY26 will perform and attend the annual East New York City Day celebration. This event is held every year to promote family and child health awareness and its a great cause. The event is free, so if you ain’t doing anything this sunday, then def. go and check them out! DAY26 member Willie Taylor III got his own street named after him Willie Taylor Avenue in Harvey, Illinois (right outside of Chicago). This is such a huge honor and we are definentely proud of Will and the members of DAY26 for this amazing honor. It’s really touching and its even right up the street from the house that Willie grew up on. Watch the video & get inspired!

DAY 26’s Willie Taylor Honored in Hometown on Independence Day
HARVEY, IL – Coming off the hills of a the Best New Group BET Award nomination, DAY 26 is set to be honored once again in Harvey, Ill. The small town is home to member Willie Taylor. The city is also honing July 4, 2008 as “Day 26″ day. The 6th annual 4th of July “Pride in Harvey” parade and festival will designate 149th street as Willie Taylor Avenue. The Harvey native of the quintet grew up nearby the street that is being named after him.

DAY 26 will add to the annual festivities by performing in Taylor’s hometown. “It really means a lot to me that the folks in my community are supporting me in this way,” I am excited to bring the guys to my hometown and we are all looking forward to performing,” said Taylor of his honor from the Mayor of Harvey.

DAY 26 was introduced to the world by Bad Boy’s top executive, Sean “Diddy” Combs, last August. The group debuted their first album at no. 1 on the billboard charts and has been recognized with a BET Award nomination and a Teen Choice Award nomination. The group recently released their next single “Since You’ve Been Gone” this month.
