It has been confirmed by DAY26’s official myspace, that they will be performing on the pre-show which will air live at 6pm/EST. I’m a little disappointed that they’re not performing on the actual show - but its better than nothing. Don’t forget to tune in!

Hey guys! BET has updated the page for this years BET Music Awards and of course, DAY26 is nominated for “Best Group” and everyone is still trying their best to get The Guys to perform on the show as well. Below is a link to the official page for more info!

NEW YORK (AP) — In order to keep their brotherly love flowing, members of Day26 felt they had to fight — both physically and verbally — to mature as a group.

On the latest season of their MTV reality TV show, “Making the Band 4,” fans not only got to see the boys squabble and sing their hearts out, they also saw the demise of their labelmates, girl group Danity Kane.

The men of Day26 thought it would be best for their fans to witness first-hand what shaky moments they had gone through, unlike Danity Kane, whose break up came as a surprise.

“With the whole Danity Kane situation, that was like a shock. Well, of course we knew what was going on because we were on the inside, but they pretty much left their fans high and dry,” Brian Andrews said in a recent interview.

Added Willie Taylor: “They kept their thing a secret, we didn’t.”

Day26 formed on “Making the Band” in 2007; Danity Kane formed in 2005. The groups were signed to Sean “Diddy” Combs’ Bad Boy imprint.

Most of Day26’s fights stemmed from who should lead the group and how the new album — “Forever In a Day,” released in April — should sound.

The story of two bands that Diddy made came to a climax at Club Nokia on Sunday Night. One band was torn apart by fame. One proved that they are truly made by putting on an explosive performance that truly represented the lofty standard of the Bad Boy Records family.

Over the past 3 seasons, fans have come to know and love the members of Day 26 (Willie, Qwanell, Brian A., Michael and Robert), just as they have with Diddy’s all-female band, Danity Kane. It has been Danity Kane who has had the most commercial success, becoming the first female group in history to debut their first two albums atop the charts. But, fans have also witnessed the breakup of the group and it has been Day 26 who has been getting most of the airtime on the Making The Band reality show.

But, as we know, the last season of Making The Band saw the guys go through so much turmoil that many thought we may never know how great they could be.

That’s why Sunday night was a declaration- a fist in the air statement that Diddy’s band was still together, unified and made! To move a Los Angeles crowd with the power that Day 26 did, showed that they belong and are ready to stay together for a long time. In fact, the fans were so passionate about the band, that about a third of the club cleared out,

Diddy’s boy band DAY26 is coming to Omaha.
The R&B quintet emerged from MTV’s “Making the Band” series and recently released its album “Forever in a Day.” The group already has ignited the local club scene with “Imma Put It on Her,” a single that’s hit the Billboard Hot 100.
Day 26 is a contemporary R&B group formed by rapper and producer Diddy on MTV’s “Making the Band” series.
Day 26 will bring its “Making the Band: Forever in a Day Tour” to Millard West High School next Saturday.
We gossiped with Will Taylor and Qwanell “Que” Mosley about the band and life with Diddy and Danity Kane, winner on the initial season of “Making the Band.” Day 26 and Danity Kane had to live together on the show this season, its fourth.

» Q. Your new album “Forever in a Day” took a while before it was released. Can you explain why?

A. Que: We wanted to connect through our music and what we were going through. That’s how you make great songs. So we tried to take our time with this project. And we were all involved with the writing.

» Q. Did someone have more artistic say, or did everyone contribute equally in the writing process?

A. Will: It was equal. We got in and did our thing. We came in with the hottest parts, and each added our own twist to the songs.

» Q. Tell me about the title?

A. Will: Forever in a day is how we live our lives. We pretty much live our lives like it’s the last day on earth.

Thats right! Our boys, DAY26 have been nominated at this years BET Music Awards in the ‘Best Group’ category! We are definentely proud of them for this accomplishment and lets hope that they can take home that award THIS time around!

Thats right! Que confirmed on his official twitter earlier today that the follow-up single to I.P.I.O.H will be “Your Heels”! This is one of my favorite joints off the album so i’m def. excited for the release and video.

The final numbers are in for the debut of “Forever In A Day” and its first week release. DAY26 sold a very impressive 115,209 copies, landing them in the #2 position! R&B group and Making the Band 4 stars DAY26 are close to scoring their second no.1 album according to early chart predictions!

“Forever In A Day,” the quintet’s Yung Joc, Diddy and Jermaine Dupri assisted album, has been predicted to move over 100,000 copies according to Hits Daily Double. However, the album still faces tough competition from the “Hannah Montana: The Movie” Soundtrack and Rascal Flatts’ latest effort “Unstoppable”.

Day 26 hit no.1 with their self titled debut album on the strength of 190,000 copies last year.

“Forever In A Day” features the group’s climbing single “Imma Put It On Her,” which is also one of this week’s most added records at Rhythmic radio.
