One year ago on this very day, 5 guys from across America were chosen to be a part of a 5 member R&B singing group. These 5 guys had fought, danced, sang, ran and worked their way to the top over a 2 month period all leading up to a huge season finale. Sean “Diddy” Combs chose Qwanell Mosely, Michael McCluney, Will Madison Taylor, Robert Curry and Brian Angel to become part of one of the best singing groups in history. These men would later become DAY 26 and release ‘DAY 26′, which debuted at NUMBER 1 on the Billboard charts. DAY 26 has made so many of us all proud and has accomplished so much in a short one year.

Whenever asked the meaning of their group name they would always respond with “Day 26 is the day that changed our lives forever - August 26th, 2007″ and today we celebrate that one-year anniversary! DAY 26 recently did an interview with The Ed Lover Show. If ya’ll know who Ed Lover is, then you already know you are in for some laughs w/ this interview. LOL, they are a trip.
They also sing a snippet of Since You’ve Been Gone and I got chills! Their harmonies are hella tight.

DAY26 stopped by 106th And Park today for a performance of Got Me Going. Of course the ladies went crazy and The Guys killed the performance. And they sung a lil’ bit of Since You’ve Been Gone acapella and the harmonies were on POINT! I hope to see them tomorrow night on the 106th & Park BET Awards Red Carpet. The festivities for the 2008 BET Music Awards kicked off yesterday in L.A. and DAY26 stopped by the BET Oasis & Spa event. Qwanell,Mike,Will, and B. Angel showed up and I added 2 MQ photos from there. Don’t forget the BET Awards go down tomorrow night!

Last night, V103 FM held their annual Car & Bike Show and DAY26 came through to perform. They performed In My Bed and killed it. SOHH.com posted photos & a video from the event and I added 2 photos and the video.

2008 Ford Flex Hits Red Carpet As Part Of Bet Awards ‘08 Activities
Ford’s distinctive all-new vehicle - the 2009 Ford Flex - will bring some of the hottest names in Hip Hop & R&B to the red carpet Tuesday evening for events surrounding the BET Awards ‘08?often dubbed as the “hottest ticket on television.”

The show will air live from Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium on June 24 at 8:00 p.m. R&B Singer Trey Songz will be among the celebrities shuttled around town in the vehicle from Ford. He is nominated for Best Male R&B Artist at the Awards show. Other celebrity Flex arrivals to include Basketball Star Chris Webber, Danity Kane, Day 26, Janelle Monae, Rocsi and Terrence J of BET’s “106 & Park” and Alicia Renee.

In addition to providing transportation to stars, Ford is partnering with BET on the official awards show after party and will have planted on the red carpet interpretations of the Flex designed by Celebrity Customizers Funkmaster Flex and Chip Foose. Both vehicles offer a unique interpretation of the possibilities of this distinctive new vehicle. Ford’s activities will also be integrated into the official BET Awards recap show airing June 25 on BET’s “Black Carpet.”

As part of the sponsorship, Ford will be integrated into the BET awards microsite landing page. This will include a page takeover on BET’s mobile site with selected nominee’s ring tones; a Ford Flex branded online photo flipbook featuring images of celebrity arrivals at the awards show after party in addition to a mobile link within the navigation bar on the official awards page. All of these efforts will drive traffic back to www.fordurban.com, Ford’s interactive lifestyle destination.

OMG! Finally! next Friday, DAY26 will be on F’N MTV to premiere the brand new music video for Sine You’ve Been Gone! F’N MTV is a new show on MTV where artists come by to premiere their music videos and perform. I don’t know if they will perform yet or not, but I am hoping so! You already know whats up - we gon’ have it posted the MINUTE after it air! LOL!

Rihanna and Maroon 5 will perform, and T.I., No Age, and Day 26 will stop by to pull the wraps off of their latest music videos.
